I Have to Be Honest

 I have to be honest….

  • I love that it’s about to be summer vacation! That’s the best thing about becoming an educator..8 weeks of complete relaxation. I vowed I would not teach summer school this summer and so far that’s going to happen.
  • I am a crybaby when I think about my kids. My son had his Honors Program on Friday and I cried like a baby. I am just sooo proud of all of his accomplishments! I even found out that he is #14 out of 350 6th graders! The crazy thing is that I do not have to “stay on him” about academics. He literally comes home daily and does ALL of his work without ANYONE saying anything to him.
  •  I have not trained for my upcoming Peachtree Road Race or the Father’s Day 4 mile race. Training starts tomorrow. Since I want to increase my time, I am doing strength training 3 days a week. A stronger runner makes for a faster runner!

  • I am WAY behind in my goal to run 21 races in 2012. I am about 4 in–a total failure for it to be May. I’ve wanted to run more but let’s be real.. running races can get expensive!  Even with that in mind, I have 2 races in my immediate future, The Atlanta Braves Father Day 4 mile run and the Peachtree Road Race. Then a couple of Half Marathons (even though I missed out on the St. Jude Half Marathon) and smaller races all the way through 12.31.2012. I will make my goal(s).

    • I am about to take over the world–literally speaking. My latest venture, an online education magazine, is taking up a lot of my time–and money but I believe in this and I promise you guys are going to be so IMPRESSED when it’s finally revealed! I even have an Intern from UGA and we are going to meet sometime this week. I am sooo excited!

    • I have been trying my hand at designing websites. I am NOT A PRO but Google, YouTube and my HTML pro friends are helping me out 1000%! This weekend I learned how to make a header and this week I am going to work on creating Social Media Buttons. I needed to cut costs with this new online venture so this seems like a logical step! I am still in need of help so for certain things I will call the experts but for now it’s HALFWAY good!
    • I have been trying to be more “girly” lately. Usually I throw on my workout clothes and pull my hair up and go on about my business. But let’s face it–that’s not cute all of the time. So bare with me as I will be posting pictures to document this change!
    • I am praying HARD for a new job! I went on my 2nd interview for that position I so wanted to work for…keep me in your prayers.
    • I have been “toying” with the idea of doing a Fitness Competition of July 2013. Really…I am. Call me crazy but I have goals and I love to hold myself accountable! Before I pay a coach to train me, I have to get at least 50-60 pounds off of me so a year would give me time to lose everything and then start training by January. I’m still researching everything but after looking at Laura Must Lose Weight and Alexa Rae I get motivated..stay tuned.

  • I have “cleaned up” my eating but I’m trying to go 100% clean. Speaking of fitness competitions, my eating has to be clean 100% of the time.. So I am know recording ALL of my meals via Social Media (think Tumblr and Facebook). It’s a way to keep me accountable and to get my abs tight. I am also going to post some pictures of me in a swimsuit on there sometime this week.
  • I still love Pinterest-so much it’s actually embarrassing. I stay online just pinning my life away. Someone please stop What do you have to be honest about? There’s no judgement here!

Haha… this list is kind of funny. Dude… I'm so excited for you about The Educator's Room. It's gonna be so dope! Hmmm… I haven't worked out for the past two weeks because I like to run outdoors (too cheap for a gym membership) and I can't do that when it's raining out. So… the other night when the rain cleared up, I went for a walk. Better than nothing, right?
