CLOSED Disney’s Secret of the Wings Giveaway- Flitterific Fairies Blue-ray™ Double Pack

I love time with my daughter—especially when we have time to watch cute Disney movies that I know she’ll remember. This past weekend we had the chance to watch an advance copy of the DVD

  • “Secret of the Wings”. It is a cute story about a Disney favorite, Tinkerbell, and her long lost sister Periwinkle. Tinkerbell is a Warm Fairy and Periwinkle is a Winter Fairy. Because of a law created by Queen Clarion and Lord Molori, the two fairies from the different seasons can’t reside together. In the end, their relationship is tested and the sisters get to be together like sisters should.

The movie was great because it featured one of our favorite characters, Tinkerbell, and her life without Peter Pan! It was cute to find out she not only had a sister, but had a “spit fire” personality that showed her going against the grain to be with her sister. In addition, the plot was fast-paced so that younger children could stay focused, but interesting enough that my 12-year-old was not bored either. I also liked the true to Disney’s mission; the movie did not show any inappropriate content—you could bring kids of any age to the movies to watch it. Even when we found out that Queen Clarion and Lord Molori once dated, there were no inappropriate kissing—just longing looks. I for one was pleased that I did not have to “cover any eyes” while watching the movie.

Lastly, I loved that the theme of sisterhood was really on display. I grew up with a sister that was four years younger than me and I understand the bond that sisters have. We used to trade clothes with one another, we got into trouble together and if anyone messed with her- they had to deal with me. Even now as we’re older we still are close. She is truly one of my best friends in the world. Our kids are all around the same age so they swap clothes together. We babysit one another’s kids and we even spend the holidays together! That is true sisterhood. The movie, “Secret of the Wings” is a great gift this holiday season for moms who want a feel good movie to watch with their kids!

Sisterhood to me is watching the incredible bond between my girls. Even thought they were born 15 and a half years apart, they love each other so much it brings tears to my eyes. I never had a sister (two brothers who I love dearly and am close to, but not the same as a sister…sorry, guys) so it is a new experience for me to be a part of.
