Last week was going good. I was eating right, exercising and most importantly my mid was “right”. Then Wednesday the unthinkable happened. (Really not the unthinkable but the unexpected.) My son got a stomach virus. After sitting in the emergency room for about 4 hours, I went home but all exercise was ‘shot’ as I had to quickly get the kids ready for bed and all those good things. The next day I woke up went to work and got home and did all of daily night time duties (cooking dinner, splitting up sibling arguments and writing in between). Then about 3 am on Thursday morning I woke up vomiting (from both ends) all over the bathroom.
Yes, Super Mom, was sick- very sick. I could barely move. I didn’t go into work on Friday and for good reason I was having aches all over my body, my head hurt and all my body wanted to do was sleep. I emerged from my coma on Friday evening and managed to start bleaching everything down and Lysoling anything anyone touched in the last 3 years and then I went promptly went back to sleep. Needless to say I couldn’t work out Thursday, Friday or Saturday because today is the first day I actually feel better.
I was nervous to even get back on the scale but I was pleasantly surprised that despite me NOT working out, I lost 5 pounds. Maybe it was the virus or the fact that I couldn’t even imagine eating anything, I don’t know but Mama was HAPPY! As this week starts, you guys know the plan- EAT CLEAN, TRAIN MEAN and DON’T STEP ON THE SCALE UNTIL NEXT SUNDAY!
