I’m About To Be An Author!

I’ve been super busy, stressed out and writing, editing and writing some more. It’s all been for a good cause because my online magazine, The Educator’s Room is releasing our first book in a week! It’s a book that addresses the burnout that teachers experience after being in the field a certain amount of time.

Despite what some people will lead you to believe, teacher burnout is REAL. I’ve seen teachers have mental breakdowns and have to see a mental health professional just to be mentally okay. It’s hard having to deal with parents, kids and educational reformists. So I wrote this book to give teachers HELP.

I co-authored the books with a group of dynamic educators from across the country (Oregon, Kansas, New York, Atlanta) and this book is about to help so many teachers around the world that just want to give up. I was inspired to write this book because during my 5th year in education, I literally sat at my desk and almost left the field. It took a lot of prayer, a move to a different city and still a lot more prayer for me to eventually stay–but I did. This book offers 15 chapters of vignettes that address how different teachers reacted to their burnout and if they eventually stayed our left education.

Since the book will be released soon (I will post a link here) you guys already know I’m going to have a book signing party in April. So you guys please come out and support me and buy a copy of the book! When I get the book cover I will post it here first! I am soooo excited! Woohoo! I follow your blog and I love it! So Bossy!

Teachers are giving up! The support from (some) parents does not exist anymore. I also believe that parents have given up.

I am uber excited for this read. We must hang in here!
I shall spread the word about this book. Sooo many want to give up and I am one of them!
There are many in-home childcare providers that would benefit from this as well. We want to give up as early as pre-school.
